bajutsu: horsemanship

bujinkan: divine warrior training hall; Hatsumi took the name Bujinkan (Establishment of the Divine Warrior) for his teacher Toshitsugu Takamatsu whom he felt embodied this principles. He speaks of doing techniques inspired by this bujin. The name was created by Hatsumi and did not have any other name for it. He created the term when he started to form a society for the nourishment and dissemination of his teacher's knowledge and fighting systems.
