Bujinkan Nottingham, East Midlands, England
About the dojo
The dojo is affiliated with the Nottingham University Ninjutsu Society. We arrange training sessions twice a week (Wednesdays are open to the general public) and also arrange seminars at least three times a year.
Training on a Wednesday is taken by Simon Proctor. Kamae, Kihon Happo and the San Shin are regularly covered and practised as well as the more street oriented side of self protection. Students are encouraged to make notes and handouts are provided to help learn the names and terms for the fundamental aspects of training. Weapons such as the staff and the sword are also covered.
Where and when
We train every Wednesday at the Lenton Centre, Willoughby Street, Lenton. Starting at 19:30, the class runs for two hours followed by a drink in The Happy Return or The Grove pub afterwards.
Costs
All training is £4 unless you are a member of the Nottingham University Ninjutsu Society or are at college. Then the price is £3. There are no grading fees but you are expected to buy your own training outfit. This will cost £40 and is available through the dojo.
Membership is £10 per year to cover the costs of insurance.
